Support Groups

The follow-up after each camp is an imperative component of the program.

Before attending a camp, each participant, parent and Support Adult is briefed on the process of the program and the Support network is established prior to attending.

The Support Groups meet weekly on a local Community basis, the first meeting being held within a few days after the completion of the camp. The role of the Support Group is to ensure the young person is able to embark on a program of change while remaining within their own home and school environment.

Sometimes, it is necessary for the local Support Adult to make arrangements with the consent of the young person to receive professional follow up within their geographical area.
